So with halloween right around the corner, what better way to get in the mood than to watch some scary movies. Personally I love a good scary movie, but there isn’t much out there these days that is worth watching. Insert: Paranormal Activity. This movie has not been advertised too much, but let me tell you this it’s scary as shit. It’s supposed to be based on real events, where a lady has a demon that has been following her for years. Her now boyfriend wants to see what is going on so he decided to film it on camera. This movie was made on a budget of $15000, but it does not disappoint. I’ve never in my life screamed out loud while watching a movie and this movie was successful. During the last scene I yelled out Oh My F*cking God! But it was ok because the entire packed theatre were in just as much shock and surprise as I was. I cant justify how shocking it was, but I do think you should check it out. Peep the trailor after the jump. Let us know what you guys think of the movie. Good? Bad? Cheesy? Drop a note. (more…)

To some this is old news, to others it’s not. I thought I would share it either way. The name of Mr. Hudson might sound familiar to you, if it does, prepare to hear a lot more of him. This British Pop artist is what I believe, is going to be the next big thing. He has already been featured on Kanye’s album (he’s on the paranoid track) and as of recent he’s been on Jay-Z’s The Blueprint 3 album (Young Forever). Mr. Hudson also has a track out with Kid Cudi called “Everything is Broken” which should be on his new debut album “Straight no Chaser.” His album is set to be released in North America on October 19, 2009. Check out the video for his single “Supernova” featuring Kanye West after the jump. Be sure to get your hands on his album once it’s released, I’m sure it will turn some heads. (more…)

So a bunch of fauxrealers caught a glimpse of the new flick “Whip It.” This was Drew Barrymore’s Directorial debut and I think she did a job well done. Ellen Page aka Bliss Cavender aka Babe Ruthless was the main lead in this film and it suited her perfectly. Not much different than her alternative, edgy Juno-esque character, Bliss Cavender venutres off into the world of Roller Derby. (more…)

As reports of the economic downturn is at its turning point, businesses are still reeling from its effects. Its latest victim is familiar to many Torontonians looking for a fast food fix. Ho-Lee-Chow was known for ther MSG-less grub and their late hours or delivery service. Although the food was not the most tastiest, in dire circumstances you knew that Ho-Lee-Chow had your back. After 20 years of serving the southern Ontario region with its chow mein and chicken balls, no longer will you be able to dial them up for some mediocre egg foo young, some chicken fried rice and spring rolls with packets of plum sauce. So Thank you Mr. Chow and ciao for now.

With the fall tv schedule out and in full effect, we are able to stay in on weekdays veg out and catch a good tv show. One tv show that is back is mtv’s “The City” former hills castaway whitney port is back for her second season. Although I do enjoy this show, I feel that this season is missing something. That something is Erin Lucas. Erin Lucas is actually the pseudonym of Erin Williams. Erin is a model and actress and was friends with Whitney Port. Erin is also the daughter of AC/DC bass player Cliff Williams. The City needs to get her back on the show because she is incredible. Plus the talent on The City is severly lacking. Check out the pics after the jump and let us know what y’all think. Don’t forget to hit up the poll too. Here’s to Erin Lucas and hoping she comes out of hiding soon. (more…)
